Advanced Radiation Therapy Enters Into LandMark Deal

Advanced Radiation Therapy, LLC ( ART) and Best Medical Technology Co. Ltd (BMT) have finalized a technology transfer deal that authorizes BMT to use the company’s AccuBoost technology in China. In the first phase of this venture, ART and BMT will install a complete turnkey AccuBoost equipment package at Hainan Boao Evergrande International Hospital in the Hainan Province of China. BMT and hospital personnel will be trained on the use of the equipment and the processes for delivering patient treatment. This site, to be operated by BMT in conjunction with the hospital, will act as a local resource for BMT and to treat patients with the technology while developing the clinical data and related support documentation for eventual regulatory submissions.

In the ensuring phases of the relationship, ART and BMT will establish a joint venture company for the purpose of producing the AccuBoost equipment which BMT will sell throughout China. Under the terms of this agreement, BMT and ART together will be responsible for the licensing and registration of the AccuBoost technology and equipment in China and BMT will then steward the associated expansion of the technology.
